Lisa - have you ever tried a sponsored post and paid the 5 cents extra to make sure those that visit your page are staying there? That is what I would recommend for a post you want a little extra juice for.

Do you use Stumbleupon as a social media channel for your blog content? I do and have found it a good place as far as page views to my site. The big question is the bounce rate which can increase from people who just go from site to site and either choose a thumbs up or thumbs down without actually reading the articles.
