Director Ignacio Ferreras discusses the joys and challenges of adapting the graphic novel Arrugas (Wrinkles) into a 2D animated film.
Arrugas is one of the 18 films qualified for the Best Animated Feature Oscar this year. You can read all about it here and enjoy the screenshots whish i found very promising. If this Movie get an Oscar or not doesn't matter - i want to see it anyway. @safegaard

In the frontier city of Carpathia, Jasper Morello discovers that his former adversary Doctor Claude Belgon has returned from the grave. When Claude reveals that he knows the location of the ancient city of Alto Mea where the secrets of life have been discovered, Jasper cannot resist the temptation to bring his own dead wife Amelia back. But they are captured by Armand Forgette, leader of the radical Horizontalist anti-technology movement, who is determined to reanimate his terrorist father Vasco. As lightning energises the arcane machineries of life in the floating castle of Alto Mea, Jasper must choose between having his beloved restored or seeing the government of Gothia destroyed. Set in a world of iron dirigibles and steam powered computers, this gothic horror mystery tells the story of Jasper Morello, a disgraced aerial navigator who flees his Plague-ridden home on a desperate voyage to redeem himself.

Graduation animated short film. Nominated for the Academic Achievement Award at ArtEZ Zwolle. The film is a semi-autobiographical tale showing among others modern madness, attention disorder, overindulgence, fear of death, being alone without loneliness. It has a loose narrative, almost sequential, encouraging the viewer to construct their own theories, while retaining a unity in theme and atmosphere. Did i mention, It´s Academic Art. @ safegaard

If i should pick the "Machinima Movie off the year 2011" it would be this.
I know most people of the machinima community have seen it, but i have to put it in here. This site would newer be completed without it.
"A philosophical exploration of the nature of the afterlife, god and human kind"is a very good way to describe it. I think you have to see it for your self. Words doesn't give it the credit it deserves.
It was made in iClone 4 and have the glitches from there but you will forget it as you see it. It doesn't matter. This movie will touch your soul.
